What stays on your device
Your answers to the quick check, and the IRP card dates and trips you enter in the calculator, are worked out by code running in your own browser. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. When you close or reload the page, they are gone.
The only thing the site remembers is whether you chose the light or dark theme. That choice is saved in your browser, never leaves your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
Visitor statistics
We don’t run any visitor statistics at the moment.
When we add them, they will work without cookies and only count anonymous totals: for example how many people finish the check, and which kind of result they got, such as “can apply now” or “1 to 3 years to go”. They will never include your answers or any dates. We will name the provider on this page before we switch them on.
If you email us
We use your email address and message only to reply to you, and delete them once they are no longer needed. Our address is [email-placeholder].
Newsletter
We don’t have a newsletter yet. If we start one, you will only receive it if you sign up and confirm, every email will have an unsubscribe link, and this page will name the service that sends it for us.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We don’t use this data to identify you.
Who runs this site
This site is run by [controller-placeholder], who is responsible for your data under the GDPR (the data controller).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Because the check and the calculator don’t send us anything, in practice the only data we could hold about you is an email you sent us.
